1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Ex-drag car but not altered or cut. Odometer shows 22,959 miles. Considering the cars history and panel fit they could be correct! Mild mannered but great sounding 350 with an automatic transmission (originally a 4 speed car) Excellent chestnut metallic paint (1969 Yenko color)on a very rust free body and just as importantly no chassis or trunk rust. Beautiful stock interior (black) and console except for updated guages and steering wheel. Everything works including the speedometer, odometer and key buzzer! Price includes an additional "built" small block with GM aluminum angle plug heads, GM factory high rise intake and other goodies. Note: GM initiated the X11 code which denotes the "SS" designation in December of 1968. However, this car was built in the 3rd week of October, 1968 so the X11 code does not apply to this vehicle. It does have power front disc brakes which were required on all SS's as well as 4 leaf rear springs and the larger hood springs.

Considerable custom body work included a convertible two seat "hideaway top" deck lid design, rear quarter panel modifications and an ASC/McLaren ground effects package. This particular automobile is serial #41 of only 1,015 cars built in 1988. It is 1 of only 27 sporting the special black cherry exterior color. The vehicle was previously owned by a retired Air Force Colonel and has received excellent care. It has been driven only 43,000 miles since new. It has new paint, new convertible top and nearly new Goodyear Eagle tires which are mounted on ASC/McLaren custom wheels. The 5.0 liter V8 and 5 speed manual transmission both perform flawlessly. Both the tan leather interior and carpet are in excellent condition. CPI (Cars of Particular Interest) book value not including an add for low miles is $19,425.00. This car is a great buy at only $16,900.00. Trades considered.

NOTE: AT SOME TIME DURING ITS LIFE THE AUTOMOBILE SUSTAINED FRONT END DAMAGE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE OWNER HAD THE CAR SHIPPED BACK TO GERMANY FOR REPAIRS. THE COST WAS SO SUBSTANTIAL TO HAVE THOSE REPAIRS DONE IN GERMANY THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANY SHOWED IT AS A TOTAL LOSS. ALL OF THE ORIGINAL VIN TAGS ARE STILL ON EVERY BODY COMPONENT EXCEPT FOR THE HOOD AND DRIVERS FRONT FENDER. I BELIEVE THAT THE CAR STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL WINDSHIELD (DAIMLER SIGNATURE). Guatemala Villa (Continued)

The following are answers to some frequently asked questions:

Crime: Guatemala City is a huge city. There is crime in certain parts just like there is in Detroit, Chicago, Houston, L.A. etc. Don't go to those parts! We connect through Houston non-stop into the city. A car from the Grand Futura Hotel picks us up at the airport. We stay on the Royal Floor which includes complimentary cocktails and food. A great hotel! The room cost approximately $89.00 per night. The next morning a private car from the lake picks us up at the hotel and we go to Wal-Mart to buy supplies. Then we're off to the lake. When we head home we reverse the process. The airport and hotel are both located on the west side of the city. The lake is also located west of the city so we have no reason to "visit" the rest of Guatemala City. Tourists from all over the world including the U.S. visit Lake Atitlan. Many have chosen to retire there. Each village located around the lake has it's own dress color and the residents are well mannered and clean. The lake is approximately 50 miles from the city. However, due to the change in altitude and traffic, the driving time can range from 2 to 3 hours.

Land Ownership: As with all property that is located on the water, the land is leased. The villa lease runs to February, 2041. The lots are leased to December, 2023. A small annual lease fee (approximately $490.00 for villa and lots) is paid to the government. At the end of the lease period, the property is renewed by paying a small renewal fee. Many people do not realize that many franchise businesses here in the U.S. are built on leased land. They include McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Applebee's, Best Buy, FedEx, Kohls, Wendy's and Starbucks just to name a few. My villa is close to an area known as "Millionaires Row" where many beautiful mansions are also located on the shores of the lake with private helipads etc. They too are built on leased land.

Transfer of ownership: I have a very reputable law firm in Guatamala City that assisted me when I purchased the property. I'm sure that my attorney, Ms. Rita Perez would be happy to assist the buyer in finding another reputable firm to handle your end of the transaction.

Medical facilities: There are many qualified physicians, dentists, laboratories etc. located in the larger villages around the lake.

Cost of Living: The cost of living is VERY LOW! The utilities will run around $110/mo. if you or guests are staying there. Phone (WiFi) around $20/mo. Insurance including an additional liability policy $1,337/yr.

Weather: The best in the world! If you Google the weather you will find that it varies very little year around. High's in the 70's and 80's, lows in the 50's and 60's.

Flight connections: Many major airlines connect into Guatemala City. Fares are a fraction of the cost to many other resort area's.

Employees: I employ a full time caretaker/gardener who lives on the property in his own apartment 24/7. Victoriano is very loyal! No matter what time either you or guests arrive, he is there to open the gates, carry luggage etc. He is paid approximately $350/mo. He is highly respected by the villagers due to his position at the villa. Nancy, the cleaning lady comes in twice a week to clean, do laundry, prepare for guests etc. She is paid $45/mo.

Property managing and bill pay: I have a property manager that takes care of bookings, paying bills, arranging tours, transportation etc. In return, he is paid 10% of all rents received.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions not addressed here.

FOR SALE OR TRADE: One of the most unique real estate opportunities in the world. A PRIVATE 20 acre island located in British Columbia, Canada. I have traveled to many parts of the world and I can honestly say that this is the most beautiful, unspoiled area that I have ever seen. The island and its quaint log cabin have been in the same family since 1947. It is located on the 60 mile long Stuart Lake which is approximately 30 miles from Fort St. James, B.C. Access is by float plane or boat which can be launched from Tachi, an Indian village located just 6 miles from the island. The cabin is located on a private beach facing west which provides a "front row seat" for astonishing northern hemisphere sunsets and breathtaking displays of the Aurora Borealis. The cabin was built in 1949 by the Carrier Indian Natives of the Stuart-Nechako Valley using reclaimed old growth timber from the island and has stood the test of time very well. It has a large front room which is divided into a kitchen and dining/sitting room. The sleeping quarters consist of a master bedroom on one side and four bunk beds on the other. A rear door leads to the detached shower room and smokehouse. Due to its unique topography, this is one of the only islands on the lake with the elevation to accommodate any changes in the lake levels without compromising the beach lines. At 150' it has the highest elevation of any island on the lake. In addition, almost a mile of continuous shoreline makes it one of the most walkable as well as a good candidate for additional development. NOTE: There are a few other island properties available but I highly advise any interested party to do considerable research prior to purchase. If there were a heavier snowfall than normal in the region the water could rise to a point that could reduce an islands acreage and create marshy conditions. With the exception of one time in 1972, when the water came into the front yard (didn't touch the cabin), this property has enjoyed the same shoreline that you see in these photo's for the past 66 years plus or minus a few feet. The lake is a fisherman's paradise with the Stuart-Nechako Valley being the epicenter. The Trembleur and Takla lakes drain into the Stuart and from the Stuart water passes into the Stuart and Fraser river systems and into the Pacific Ocean through Vancouver. The rock bottom of the lake results in incredibility clear water. The fishing can only be described as superb. It is not uncommon to catch a 10lb. rainbow or a 20lb. lake trout or even a 200lb. sturgeon on the mouth of the Stuart or Tachi rivers. (The lake record rainbow is 32lbs.) PLEASE NOTE: If you are looking for a full service residence with all of the "bells and whistles" this is NOT the property for you. No utilities have been run to the island. There are subterranean cache boxes for refrigeration and two wood stoves for heat. Lighting can be supplied by either propane or battery power. A small generator would also work well if electricity is desired. The bottom line is this island is quite simply, a slice of heaven. It can be enjoyed as is or developed residential or commercial with no zoning restrictions. The asking price is $325,000.00. If you go to privateislandsonline.com you will find that this property is priced WELL BELOW others on the market, many of which are much smaller! I would consider trades for automobiles, aircraft, boats or real estate. SEE BELOW TO VIEW ADDITIONAL PHOTO'S.
